Sol Guard 500 has a unique two-ply combination of clear top surface with a translucent underside & in tests carried out with Brighton & London Metropolitan Universities it was proven that the Sol + Guard Solar Cover is the most effective Solar Cover in allowing maximum solar gain and when used in conjunction with The Circulator it can save you in excess of 60% on your heating bills.

The Sol+Guard Solar Cover’s unique two-ply combination allows maximum solar gain to pass through the solar cover which will increase the pool temperature by up to 8°C and eliminate water evaporation by over 98%.

Detailed research, in collaboration with the Brighton and London Metropolitan Universities, has proven that the evaporation loss in the UK for an average sized pool, 4m x 8m, is approximately 32,000 litres per year. This figure will considerably higher for hotter climates so if you are looking to take the Sol+Guard Solar Cover to your pool abroad it will save you even more money.

The durable 500 micron pool cover materials used for EnergyGuard, CoolGuard and Sol+Guard are formulated for climate conditions in various continents of the world depending on UV (ultra violet) weathering intensity. The Sol+Guard and EnergyGuard materials are supplied in two UV formulations: one for areas up to 140 kLys/yrs (Kilolangley years) and one for up to 180kLys/yrs. CoolGuard is supplied for areas up to 180kLys/yrs

Warranty

The Sol+Guard cover has a 5 year pro rata warranty. The Sol+Guard and EnergyGuard materials are supplied in two UV formulations that are covered by our pro rata 5 year warranty.
