Used to test the total chlorine level in a pool or spa, these tablets offer a quick and accurate way to test your pool or spa's total chlorine level. They come in strips of ten, ten strips per box. Each tablet is sealed in its' own airtight pocket of the strip.

What is DPD?

DPD is an abbreviation of diethyl-p-phenylene diamine. DPD tablets react with pool water containing chlorine or bromine, colouring the water sample various shades of red. The deeper the colour, the higher the concentration of sanitiser.

Free Chlorine

1. Rinse tester with water sample and fill up to the 10ml marking
2. MEASUREMENT OF FREE CHLORINE: Add 1 DPD No. 1-tablet, close lid
3. shake well to dissolve tablet
4. compare solution with colour standards on the right and read off chlorine value
5. Ideal values for free chlorine:

pH

1. Rinse the tester with water sample and fill up to the 10ml marking.
2. MEASUREMENTS OF pH LEVEL: Add 1 Phenol Red tablet, close lid
3. shake well to dissolve tablet
4. compare solution with colour standards on the left and read pH level
5. Ideal values for pH: 7.2 - 7.6
