Copper based Algaecide will help prevent the build up of Algae in a swimming pool. Regular twice a month doses will keep your swimming pool clear from Algae it will inhibit or destroy Algae in your swimming pool depending on which type you use. Some swimming pool Algicides can both destroy and prevent Algae.
If you need to kill or destroy an algae bloom we would advise using a MultiFunction Chlorine Shock Treatment first of all.
